John and Janet celebrate the life, music, and 100th birthday of composer Henry Mancini. The two-act show includes classics like Moon River and Days of Wine and Roses, as well as music from the Peter Gunn TV series. A slide show of nostalgic images accompanies the program.
The show will feature John Wooley (writer/narrator), Janet Rutland (vocalist), Scott McQuade (piano/arranger), Jake Erwin (upright bass), and Lourdes Acala (video/slides).
Janet Rutland is a veteran performer in the Tulsa area and beyond. Her preference is vintage music including pop, jazz, and country. John Wooley is an author, historian, and the host of the popular radio program "Swing On This."
