Don’t miss an exciting evening of dynamic contemporary jazz with Korea's top pianist on Saturday, August 24. Youngjoo Song will perform a unique blend of traditional and modern jazz. Her newest album “Atmosphere,” won "Best Jazz Album" at the Korean Music Awards!

Ryan McGillicuddy (bass) and Steve Pruit (drums) will accompany Youngjoo Song on stage.

Youngjoo Song grew up in Seoul, Korea. She studied classical piano in college but fell in love with jazz. Song decided to take a leap of faith into this new world and moved to the United States. After graduating from Berklee College of Music and Manhattan School of Music, she returned to her native Korea, where she became a "rising star" in the jazz music scene.

She has recorded fourteen albums and performed with some of the most prominent musicians, including Steve Wilson, Mark Turner, Alan Ferber, Gretchen Parlato, and Kendrick Scott.
