“The Big 3" is a jazz piano trio featuring pianist Garrett Jacobson, bassist Rei Wang, and drummer David Bowen, each a master of their instrument. While the band is imbued by the spirit of acoustic, "straight ahead" jazz (be it a hard swinger or a tender ballad), they are equally at home playing soul and funk styles, occasionally adding original compositions to their eclectic material mix. From the first tune's downbeat to the last's final note, the audience is musically transported back to a more civilized, cooler time when being hip was the trip. This is a journey you don’t want to miss!
