Louisiana Beer Tasting & Artist Meet & Greet - 7:00 p.m.
Before the show, mingle with the artists, who love talking about Louisiana cuisine & culture, while tasting beers by Louisiana’s award-winning Abita Brewery, plus one local beer and a variety of fine cheeses & olives. A laid-back hang with Jourdan, Cedric & Joel before they hit the stage. Tasting ticket holders have preferred seating at the concert, which is included in the price of your ticket.
ABITA PURPLE HAZE is a lager brewed with pilsner and wheat malts and Vanguard hops. Raspberries are added after filtration for a fruity aroma, tartly sweet taste, and subtle purple “haze” - you may even see some fruit pulp in the beer. Purple Haze pairs well with desserts, cheeses & fruit, especially citrus.
ABITA ANDYGATORE, a creature of the swamp, is a unique, high-gravity brew made with pilsner malt, German lager yeast, and German Perle hops. Unlike other high-gravity brews, Andygator is fermented to a dry finish with a slightly sweet flavor and subtle fruit aroma. Reaching an alcohol strength of 8%, it is a Helles Doppelbock, so enjoy it in moderation. It pairs well with crawfish, Gorgonzola and blue cheese.
LOCAL OK BEER: LowDown staff will pick one one local craft brew, as well, for your tasting pleasure.
