The Edwin Canito Garcia Quartet or ECG4 is comprised of an eclectically unique group of musicians who have lived and worked in the NYC/ Boston area and now reside in Oklahoma.
Edwin Canito, bandleader and bassist, is originally from the Lower East Side of NYC and has played music around the world for the past 20 years. He has performed and studied with such Jazz notables as, Phil Woods, Arturo O’Farrill & the Afro Cuban Jazz Orchestra, Paul Bollenback, Tim Ries from the Rolling Stones, Freddie Bryant Trio, and more. Edwin has also instructed as an adjunct professor or guest artist at Northeastern State University, Oklahoma University, HOSTOS in NYC, and Brooklyn Academy of Music BAM.
The Edwin Canito Jazz Quartet includes Nick Mancini on vibraphone, Max Holm on piano, David Bowen on drums, and guest percussionist Garett Dwyer.
